We will have been married for 8 years in July 2009. After trying to have a baby for nearly 3 years we were blessed with our Benjamin. He is blessing 0ur lives immensely. He prays for a baby sister or brother & for mommy to have a baby every night. As soon as I recovered from the emergency c-section we immediately started trying again not knowing how long it could take this time. During the last 5 years, we have tried many medical procedures with little to account for but disappointment, pain and medical bills.
Through fasting, prayer and priesthood blessings we have been encouraged to continue with infertility options as well as adoption. We started the adoption application process in 2007. In July 2008 we excitedly became an approved couple on the LDS adoption waiting list. The wait proves long and difficult. We know adoption is a wonderful way for us to be blessed with our baby.
We continue to wait, hope, work & pray...We are trying every thing we can. We continue to research our options with infertility our last option is IVF. We continue to wait with faith on the LDS adoption site and one day we would love to find our child through foreign adoption as well.
To help ease my frustration I (Angela) became a consultant with Pampered Chef, it provides a fun distraction for me from waiting and any money I earn goes into our adoption account.
At one of our monthly Families Supporting Adoption group at LDS family services they discussed funding adoption. They gave many examples of what other couples have done to successfully fund their adoptions. One example even included Pampered Chef! They suggested everything from selling brownies to neighborhood donated garage sale fundraisers.
We gained reassurance that we are on the right path and while it is humbling to put ourselves out there like this...We know our family can grow
Thank you for your loving support!
